Between 1997 and 2012 the Atlantic History Seminar held a series of Conferences and Workshops: there were seven public conferences, at which senior scholars presented papers on newly developing aspects of Atlantic history, and nineteen workshops, involving over a hundred scholars working on highly focused topics of special interest.
